This time of year, as the clouds and rain of the wet season diminish, and almost proportionally, flight operations are on the increase up here in the western highlands of Guatemala. The fix is in
After some intensive research, collaboration, and phone calls this problem is a thing of the past. The persistent oil leak had been coming from this oil seal that had de-bonded from the circular recess just behind the crankshaft flange. With replacement parts available, bonding and de-bonding chemicals available, and special tools, this job takes maybe half a day. This job, on the field, in Guatemala…………..well that’s another story.
