Celebrating Jesus….. Xela Style

Christmas day in Guatemala begins at midnight of the 24th. Fireworks lead the cheer for the birthday celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ. Later on Christmas day, Living Water Teaching missionaries enjoying a traditional feast and fellowship. Praying your celebration with friends, family, and fellow believers has been the best ever!

Today’s mission, should you choose to accept it………is to build up even more “Shoe-boxes”. This is one of 12 stations, processing gender and age specific boxes. Remember, there are 12 stations making boxes for children from 0 through 16 years old. Each box intended to bless a child with the love of Jesus.

Operation Shoebox, out of the starting gate!

  Two tractor trailers arrive from port,carrying toys for Operation Shoebox 2015. Some pallets contain finished boxes others are packed with bulk items for boxes that will be filled and distributed right here in the Mercy Wings hangar. A day to celebrate!

Plenty of smiles to go around this day. Traditionally in Guatemala, a graduation is a time to celebrate in grand style. The day will be served up with extra helpings of Pomp and Circumstance. Students of the LWT/BI in Quetzaltenango assemble for one large commemorative photo that will mark this passing.
