The ladder of Success

It was early. The sun had just broken over the 10,000 ft mountain range on the east side of our valley. The city of Quetzaltenango, in the western highlands of Guatemala, was awake and moving, even in darkness before the dawn. Curious about a noise outside of our home early that morning, I opened the creaky metal door and found this ladder against the wall. A young man was preparing to trim the overgrown green space between homes in our Colonia. I looked closely at that work-weary ladder. Cleary, a “get-er-done” attitude had been applied often over the years. Some will argue that using a branch and wire to replace a broken rung is the pinnacle of resourcefulness. I even understand that getting the job done might well be something to praise. But this would never, EVER, be the case when it comes to aviation on the mission field. We safely transport missionaries and ministers, multiplying their reach and effectiveness. Here at SGSP Aviation Ministries, our mission is to give wings to good works.

Can you see yourself in Guatemala, as an aviation missionary/ pilot/ mechanic?  If so, we should talk.  Email: talk2us@sgsp-aviation.org
