Whatever it Takes

Robin and I have been married for over 31 years, over the years, I’ve learned several important lessons from her. Some quicker than others. Even though I am one that is prone to grumble, Robin demonstrates to me and others, that all things can be done with a happy heart…………….as though to the Lord.

Keeping an aircraft in good shape is accomplished in many ways. As with every type of tool on the mission field, good, detailed, maintenance ensures long life and readiness. Today Robin is “wing washing”, removing the bugs from the leading edges of the entire airplane. Over time the acidity of squished bugs can penetrate layers of wax, paint, and primer. If not removed after every flight, it opens the door for corrosion to get established, weakening the underlaying base aluminum. As always Robin is willing to do whatever it takes, with a happy heart, and a smile on her face, to help keep these mission aircraft in tip top condition. Keeping the bugs off the finish of an aircraft is not a glamorous task but the effect is far-reaching and long-term. Serving on the mission field is a lot like that, many times it is the small things that make the greatest impact.

(Colossians 3:23) And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
