Mission-Minded Networking

The Martinez family (2006): Chuck, Robin, and Rachael. In the last year of a 4-year commitment serving with a mission agency based in Tulsa OK. We began another season of deputation in preparation for our next missionary posting in Guatemala the following year.

While organizing images on my computer, I came across this throw-back photo of the Martinez family during our first missionary posting in Oklahoma. We took this photo just before departing on a “deputation trip” in preparation for our upcoming missionary posting in Central America. We planned to depart Tulsa, fly across Texas and New Mexico to southeast Arizona. This trip took us to our home church in the city of Sierra Vista where we were invited to share about our new assignment, future needs, and timeline before moving to Guatemala the following year.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge since those days. Today, after 15+ years as aviation missionaries in Guatemala, deputation is more important than ever. Reconnecting with long time supporters and forging new relationships along the way keeps us firmly planted in our mission country. Missionaries/SGSP mission director’s Chuck & Robin are looking forward to a 4–6-week period stateside to reconnect, refresh, and share the mission of Serving God by Serving His People (SGSP) Aviation Ministries. We would also like to network with those who are mission-minded and ready to intern in a cross-cultural environment. We’ll keep you posted on our timeline. Have an idea to connect us to ministry resources? We should talk. 972-546-7686 or email admin@sgsp-aviation.org
